Scott Peterson’s parents are now offering up $250,000 for information leading to the capture of the “real killers” of Laci and Conner Peterson.

Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country. This ban applies, among other things, to participation in demonstrations and the expression of opinions in public about domestic politics.

— Equal employment rights are denied to immigrants, even legal ones, even those with green cards.
— Only citizens may serve in the military as officers, on airline crews, and chiefs of seaports and airports.
— Members of both houses of Congress as well as the Supreme Court must be a citizen by birth.
— Immigrants, even legal ones, may not become members of the clergy.
— Foreigners, legal or illegal, may not own land.
— Any citizen may arrest illegal immigrants and their accomplices, turning them over without delay to the nearest authorities.
— Foreigners, legal or otherwise, may be expelled for any reason and without due process.

Sounds pretty radical doesn’t it? Surely the people waving the Mexican flag at that last protest would have a cow if such were the law, wouldn’t they?

Except it is the law…in Mexico!

No wonder they don’t want to go back to their homeland.

You don’t have to get very far before the truth in this editorial hits you straight in the face.

Unfortunately, the rest of the MSM doesn’t believe any of the truths outlined in the WaPo editorial released today. No, since earlier this week they’ve been in an unhinged uproar over the whole “Bush authorized the Leak” affair. It’s clear that so many of them wish they were born 20 years earlier than they were so they would have had a chance to report during Watergate. It’s almost comical how the rabid dogs jumped on this story as if they were getting their chance at busting a president. Ah, but they forgot this little fact:

Presidents are authorized to declassify sensitive material, and the public benefits when they do.

Not that this will stop them. No, the story will live a while longer, perhaps through the rest of this week, but not into the next. It’ll die by then, just like the rest of the bogus “Bush is evil” stories.

John Kerry has rewound the tape and is now repeating the same cheesy phrases he used in his failed 2004 presidential campaign. This time, he even has the guts to bring up religion.

A Roman Catholic who has struggled at times to talk about his own faith, Mr. Kerry also told the group that he believed “deeply in my faith” and that the Koran, the Torah, the Gospels and the Acts of the Apostles had influenced a social conscience that he exercised in politics.

“I will tell you, nowhere in there, nowhere, not in one page, not in one phrase uttered and reported by the Lord Jesus Christ, can you find anything that suggests that there is a virtue in cutting children from Medicaid and taking money from the poor and giving it to the rich,” Mr. Kerry said.

A spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, which skewered Mr. Kerry’s speeches relentlessly during 2004, responded with a verbal shrug yesterday.

“John Kerry deserves credit for continuing to take himself so seriously, despite the fact that no one else does,” said the spokeswoman, Tracey Schmitt.

Do the Democrats seriously believe it is in their best interest to trot out John and Tare-aye-sah once more in 2008? If so, the outcome is sure. Republicans will win.

Known Leftist Seymour Hersh writes in today’s New Yorker that the Bush Administration is conducting covert, behind-the-scenes exercises aimed at fine tuning a strategy to attack Iran. As usual, his goal is to set off as many alarms as possible while peppering his paragraphs with the typical liberal word play. No need to read the thing though. I can digest it for you right here.

1. Bush is trying to pull an “Iraq” again.

2. He must be stopped.

3. Iran isn’t evil. George W. Bush is.

For most liberals, it’s really that simple. Pre-emptive planning in case we have to go to war with yet another crazed dictator is mean, hurtful, and wrong. Pacifism is where it’s at. But if you have to get tough, you go to the U.N. Period.

The U.S. must do everything in its power to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons. If we sit this one out and let the U.N., the French, the Germans and Russians deal with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Israel is doomed, radical islamism will once again start its ugly spread, and the U.S. will be the target of constant terrorist attacks.

This is why I’ll support President Bush if he decides that Ahmadinejad must go.

Yesterday, the MSM was giddy with glee over the “ground-breaking” immigration legislation, focusing intently on Senators McCain, Hagel and Graham as the three wise men delivering pure milk and honey. Here’s a sample of what was said 24 hours ago.

In a major breakthrough, Democratic and Republican leaders in the Senate embraced a compromise immigration bill Thursday, fueling prospects for likely Senate passage of a plan that would put most illegal immigrants on track to permanent legal status.

Fast forward to today.

The Senate sidetracked sweeping immigration legislation Friday, leaving in doubt prospects for passing a bill offering the hope of citizenship to millions of men, women and children living in the United States illegally.

A carefully crafted compromise that supporters had claimed could win an overwhelming majority received only 38 of the 60 votes necessary to protect it from weakening amendments by opponents.

Republicans were united in the 38-60 parliamentary vote but Democrats, who have insisted on no amendments, lost six votes from their members.

So, what happened?

The media hype behind yesterday’s announcement and subsequent press conference didn’t include the majority of congressmen and women who opposed this deal. There were far fewer people who supported the legislation as today’s vote proved. The MSM assumed that because the Democratic leadership was standing on stage together with liberal Republican “stars” of the Senate the compromise was indestructible. They couldn’t have been more wrong. The fact is, yesterday’s legislation was a travesty, and it deserved to be killed.
