But this guy has got to be the craziest.

Woodruff Released
This is good news.
ABC News anchor Bob Woodruff was released from Bethesda’s National Naval Medical Center yesterday, six weeks after he was seriously wounded during a roadside bombing while on assignment in Iraq. He will spend the next few weeks at a rehab center in New York before going home, ABC News President David Westin said in an e-mail to colleagues and reporters. He said Woodruff, 44, has been up and about, joking with his family and watching the news. But “we expect months of further recuperation,” Westin said.
It’s great that he’s recovering, but I don’t expect him to be an ABC News anchorman anymore. In the superficial world of on-air faces, if you’ve got a blemish, you’re out. I’m guessing that Woodruff will have a few lasting physical scars from this experience which will keep him out of anchorhood for good. That stinks for Bob, but it’s the career he’s in that is to blame.
The Saddam Documents
ABC News has an investigative unit looking over the documents that were release by the US this week. There are interesting tidbits – bin Laden working with Saddam, French politicians on the receiving end of Saddam’s Xmas card (payroll) list.
It’s funny how ABC is suddenly interested in this stuff. That’s not typical of them or any other MSM outlet. Although ABC isn’t afraid to include editorial notes like this one about al Qaeda cooperation with Iraq:
(Editor’s Note: The controversial claim that Osama bin Laden was cooperating with Saddam Hussein is an ongoing matter of intense debate. While the assertions contained in this document clearly support the claim, the sourcing is questionable — i.e. an unnamed Afghan “informant” reporting on a conversation with another Afghan “consul.” The date of the document — four days after 9/11 — is worth noting but without further corroboration, this document is of limited evidentiary value.)
It’s interesting how “limited evidentiary value” is important in this context, when ABC and their MSM brothers and sisters go on a lot less when they’re slamming Bush for eavesdropping, etc.
The Day
I’m playing Mr. Mom at home while my wife and daughter are in Texas to attend the wedding of a distant family member. That said, the blog will reflect a lighter than normal amount of activity. It’s me and 3 boys around here, and I’ll be busy making sure we don’t burn the house down.
Welcome Back…
In my opinion, they shouldn’t take 70’s sitcoms and make major motion pictures out of them, but then, no one asked me. It looks like a remake of ‘Welcome Back, Kotter’ is in the works. I loved the show, but I can’t imagine what it would be like as a movie, and especially with other people playing the roles of characters like Barbarino and Horshack. I mean really, who can replace John Travolta?
They’re already floating the idea of who will play Gabe Kotter. Are you ready for this? Ice Cube. Right, the rapper dude. If this is any indication of how they expect to fill these roles, the movie will stink. First of all, the obvious – Gabe Kaplan is a white man. See any problems with this? What? Will Freddie “Boom Boom” Washington be played by Johnny Depp? Puhleez.
Destined for a KMart bargain bin near you.
Little Shaquette
Shaquille O’Neil and his wife are expecting. The baby will probably be born with size 10 feet and measure in at 52 inches.

Well then, sue yourself!

Homemade Abortions 101
Apparently disgusted with the recent abortion ruling in South Dakota, Molly Blythe has decided to put together a primer on the procedure along with the hardware necessary to perform an abortion, for friends, family members, or any woman currently saddled with an unwanted pregnancy.
The whole thing has troubled anti-abortion and abortion-rights activists alike.
Putting aside for a moment the whole issue of abortion, the process of abortion, the debate over abortion…
I don’t know what the hubbub is all about when it comes to posting instructions like this. People have used the Internet to publish illicit ‘how to manuals’ for years. In a few seconds, anyone can use Google to find out how to create pipe bombs, how to rip off ATMs, how to steal cable television, or how to commit suicide. How is this any different? Disturbed people will be interested in implementing this crap, while the rest of us remain mildly amused by it.
Will Ferrell: Not Dead, Yet
Much to the dismay of the people who have Will Ferrell at the top of their Dead Pool lists, he did not die yesterday as originally reported.
Yesterday, a fake press release went out across the Internet which purported to announce a fatal paragliding accident that killed comedian Will Ferrell. The story, posted on iNewswire.com, was filled with all kinds of mistakes — the most glaring was that Will was paragliding Monday in San Diego. In actuality, Will was in Canada filming a movie. And, truth be told, Will has never been paragliding in his life.
“Not much to say other than we heard and read about it this morning and reacted accordingly,” Ferrell’s publicist told E! in an email. “There was no point in trying to track [the source] down as it was obviously a hoax… [Will is] alive and well, and filming a movie in Montreal.”
Hmmm, I think I smell a screenplay.
