Just when you thought Monica Lewinsky’s blue dress was safely tucked away never to see the light of day, now some 10 years after the “event“, it’s back in the news.

Hillary Clinton spent the night in the White House on the day her husband had oral sex with Monica Lewinsky, and may have actually been there when it happened, according to records of her schedule released today by the National Archives.

The public schedule for Sen. Clinton on Feb. 28, 1997, the day on which Lewinsky’s infamous blue dress would become stained by the president, shows the first lady spent the morning and the night in the White House.

The black cloud of Bill Clinton’s stupidity once again hovers over Hillary, and it must make her furious.

The internets are abuzz with activity following the speech on race yesterday by Sen. Barack Obama. There are definitely two camps shaping up. There are those who liken the oratory to historical speeches by Martin Luther King, Jr., and JFK. For these folks, it’s the nuance that matters. Others are pointing out the problems brought on by Obama’s attempt to justify the hateful words of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Those people are focusing on the substance of the speech.

After reading all the analysis, and going through the speech once more myself, I tend to agree with Michael Gerson’s Op-Ed in the Washington Post.

The anointed one will travel to the mount tomorrow to deliver a speech on the larger issue of race in his campaign against Hillary Clinton, John McCain, the vast right wing conspiracy, and any other infidels who refuse to believe in his second coming.

“I am going to be talking about not just Reverend Wright, but the larger issue of race in this campaign,” he said.

He added that he would “talk about how some of these issues are perceived from within the black church issue for example,” he said.

He also briefly defended Wright from the image that has come through in a handful of repeatedly televised clips from recent Wright sermons.

“The caricature that’s being painted of him is not accurate,” he said.

I’ll do a bit of prophesying here – I see a hole. I see Barack Obama in that hole. I see him with a shovel. I see him digging the hole deeper.

Thanks to a civilized Republican presidential primary season, presumed GOP nominee John McCain was able to take advantage of the time before the general election to visit key allies in Europe this week, and even drop in to Iraq to meet with U.S. military leaders.

Anyone who’s paying attention knows that McCain has linked his political future to U.S. success in the country. It’s important for him to thoroughly understand the conditions on the ground, to understand the political challenges in addition to the ongoing security threat that fills the daily news cycle. McCain’s claim that he’ll keep a U.S. presence in Iraq for the next 100 years has been looked upon in disgust by the Democratic candidates and the liberal media. If he intends to keep up that message he needs to know more about Iraq than anyone in Washington, or at least lay claim to that.

This much is clear – while Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton hurl charges of racism at one another, a spotlight shines brightly on their lack of experience to be commander-in-chief. That spotlight is John McCain, who’s foreign policy credentials gain gravitas by the day.

ABC News highlights the inflammatory statements of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, pastor of the Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago’s south side. This just happens to be the home church of Barack Obama, who has attended for the past 20 years. He and his wife were married by Rev. Wright, and Obama’s two children were baptized by him.

ABC (and other members of the MSM) have spent some time sifting through the sermons delivered by Rev. Wright and they’ve found some interesting things. He has made the assertion that the U.S. brought on the September 11 attacks with its own terrorism.

Obama has written off these statements claiming that Wright is like “some old uncle who says things I don’t always agree with.” Yet to most of us, the statements of Rev. Wright cannot be thrown aside. They’re standard radical liberal fare. In fact, given that the statements were delivered from the pulpit, this indoctrination is even more worrisome. It’s no wonder Michelle Obama has been known to deliver her own speeches which call her love of America into question.

A man’s character can best be judged by the company he keeps. If Obama has really been a faithful member of this United Church of Christ fellowship, then he’s has willingly sat under the instruction of Rev. Wright. As a church member, Obama is free to worship where he wants and agree or disagree with anyone he chooses. But, as a presidential candidate, Obama needs to denounce any anti-American rhetoric, even if it comes from his pastor. If he does not, he can guarantee his acceptance of Wright will come back at him during the general election.
