The Senate rejects immigration legislation that would demand border-security methods be in place first before the creation of any guest-worker program.

Michelle Malkin has a list of the (ahem) Republicans who voted against the measure.

Would be illegal migrants flip the bird to Bush immigration proposals and blame it on “the decadence of the American  empire.”

And to think these are the people Vicente Fox calls “patriots”. Heh. 

The Wall Street Journal scrutinizes the genesis of the “Rove will be Indicted” rumor started by Truthout.org.

During the press gaggle today, Tony Snow was asked about a bracelet he wears. Hot Air has the video and it’s worth watching. The first part focuses on a sparring with Helen Thomas. The last few seconds of the clip contains Snow’s reaction to the bracelet question.

He’s a class act.

Lorie Byrd has announced her departure from group blog PoliPundit after its anonymous leader (hereafter “Mr. PoliPundit”) imposed a new “agree with me or go” policy regarding immigration reform. Frankly, public blogosphere squabbles like this one are a huge waste of bandwidth, especially when so many other important subjects are on the table. Yet, no one can deny that various factions (groups, ghettos, families, etc.) occupy both the right and left sides of the blogosphere and eventually, public undressings occur over issues, big or small.

And like a multi-car pile up on the interstate, we strain our necks to gawk. It’s natural.

My best wishes go out to Lorie as she decides what lies ahead for her. I’ve always appreciated the links and words of encouragement she’s extended to me and this little blog. Thanks Lorie.
