John Kerry’s campaign has joined a lawsuit by third-party presidential candidates seeking a recount in Ohio. A lawyer for the campaign said Thursday the campaign does not question the Democrat’s loss but wants any counting to take place statewide.

“The Kerry-Edwards campaign felt it had to intervene,” said Daniel Hoffheimer, a Cincinnati lawyer who represents the campaign in Ohio.

What campaign? The election is OVER. The campaign is OVER. There is no “Kerry-Edwards Campaign”. What…are we supposed to believe there is an active “Dukakis-Bentsen Campaign” right now intervening in recounts from 1988?

Good Lord, stop already.

Money Money Money Money…Money.

President Bush and the Republican National Committee spent a combined $707 million this election cycle after a fund-raising effort so prolific the president’s campaign still has millions left over.

Bush finished the Nov. 2 election with $4.4 million left in his $75 million, taxpayer-financed general election campaign fund and $1 million in bills to pay. He had $15 million in a legal compliance fund that he could have tapped in the event of a recount fight.

One word: Kegger.

Robert Blake’s lawyer said Thursday he hopes to go forward with his client’s murder trial despite the theft of a computer that contained what a court representative described as “the heart and soul of the defense case.”

The computer was taken Wednesday — the same day the jury was seated — from the apartment of M. Gerald Schwartzbach, who is defending the actor against charges that he murdered his wife, Bonny Lee Bakley, in 2001.

How convenient.

Ever since the election, I forgot about these. Last I looked there was only one episode, but now there are four. While the propaganda is still absurd, looking at them now, they are pretty funny.

President Bush has chosen former New York police commissioner Bernard Kerik, who helped direct the emergency response to the Sept. 11 terrorist strikes against the Twin Towers, to lead the Homeland Security Department, charged with safeguarding Americans from future attack, administration officials said Thursday.

So, I head on over to see if PunditGuy is listed in one of the categories…any of the categories…by some miracle. Well, I’m not. Did I really think I was going to be there? No. Did I secretly hope that I was going to be listed there? Yes. Oh well…there’s next year right?
