After reading this diatribe, I think I understand Glenn Greenwald, Marcos Moulitsas, their extremist brothers and sisters on the Left, The New York Times, and every other liberal media outlet, talking head, mouth piece, exclusive echo chamber email distribution group a little bit better. Here’s what I’ve figured out.

1. The Left no longer believes a genuine terror threat exists against the United States.

September 11, 2006 will mark 5 years since the attack against innocent lives on U.S. soil. There hasn’t been another terror hit within our borders since that day. Time has desensitized the Left to the threat of future terror strikes against our nation. In the months that followed that tragic day, something happened to the Left. Something erased the horror from their memory. They turned away from the unity personified in the singing of ‘God Bless America’ on the steps of the Capitol and reverted back to their ‘Right Wing Conspiracy’ talking points.  Oh, they pay plenty of lip service to the importance of vigilance today, but only in a manner which benefits them politically. The fact is, ever since the U.S. entered Iraq, the Left has done everything in its power to destroy our government’s ability to protect us from the next terrorist attack. While most conservatives and many moderates believe a future hit on America is not only possible, but imminent, the Left acts today as if that ugly day in September was a completely isolated moment which won’t ever be repeated, so long as the U.S. stops bullying other countries, and its citizens educate themselves to better ‘understand’ the plight of the terrorist.

2. The Left believes that Bush, Cheney and Rove are the real terror threats to the United States.

So… 

— They presuppose that effective anti-terrorism programs are illegal and must be exposed and stopped for the sake of ‘the public interest’.

— They encourage sympathetic career officials in the CIA and NSA (hired by the previous administration) to leak classified information.

— They demonize our men and women in uniform, painting them as the purveyors of terror by singling out events at Abu Ghraib, Haditha, and Guantanamo Bay.

— They downplay or completely ignore the many U.S. led successes in Iraq.

—  When terrorist attacks are thwarted by U.S. authorities, they explain the success away by calling into question the timing of the announcement as just another “wag the dog” moment.

The Left has one goal – to regain political power in Washington, D.C.. Beyond that, they don’t have much of anything. No plan for Iraq. No loyalty to Israel. No plan to deal with threats from Iran and North Korea, other than to relinquish our interests to the United Nations.  But more importantly…The Left has no plan to proactively prevent terrorist attacks against America.

Luckily for us, the Left’s efforts to destroy Bush have not resulted in a post-9/11 terrorist attack on our Nation.

Yet.

Peter Daou, who after reading some of my comments, has successfully commandeered a couple of moonbat invasions on this blog in the past, has been hired by Hillary Clinton to help ‘disseminate her message’ throughout the blogosphere. You see, Hillary doesn’t understand blogs, she cannot relate to bloggers, and moreover, she’s deathly afraid of screwing up in this world. So, she does the easy thing by adding another lackey to the payroll.  

Mrs. Clinton, who is up for re-election this year and is a possible presidential candidate for 2008, has been a frequent target of bloggers, particularly liberals who are angry over her refusal to disavow her vote in 2002 to authorize President Bush to use force in Iraq.

The Clinton camp is clearly counting on Mr. Daou, who directed blog outreach and online rapid response for Senator John Kerry’s presidential campaign in 2004, to help improve Mrs. Clinton’s image among liberal bloggers, who are fast becoming a constituency in their own right and may thus play a significant role in selecting the Democratic Party’s nominee for president.

The move underscores the degree to which bloggers — the authors of Web logs, or blogs — have begun to transform American politics. In many cases, candidates have even set up their own blogs, with staffers answering questions, presenting policy proposals and posting campaign literature and videos.

You’ve probably all heard of Rush Limbaugh’s viagra story by now. If not, MacRanger has been following the glee of the driveby media.

As expected, the Lefties are as giddy as little hand wringing braces wearing freckle faced redheaded school girls. So typical.

Me? Well, hey, I’ve got to say I’m a little embarrassed for Rush. I mean, imagine how he must feel. With the authorities practically hiding in the bushes waiting for his plane to land, they pounce hoping to catch him with something…anything in fact. Well, of all things, they find ‘the little blue pill’. And so, Rush will have to go on the air tomorrow and explain the absurdity of this non-story. Sigh.

Get ready to hear every little petty weenie joke known to man over the next 72 hours.
