Respected journalist for UPI? Nope, just shrill.
I’ll go ahead and join the rumor mill – via friends like Spoons and N.Z.Bear. Here’s the jist – Kerry supposedly received a less than honorable discharge from the Navy. World Net Daily has a story, but, it’s not THE story, only a pre-cursor. We shall see.
Some are advising caution.
Further to my prediction that Yasser Arafat will never see Ramallah again, Sharon says he would block any request by Palestinian officials to bury Arafat in Jerusalem.
The big question this weekend has been what effect of the bin Laden tape will have on the vote Tuesday. I’m sure that the Republicans have been watching the numbers to detect any movement in the polls. Leave it to the Democrats though to actually take a poll on the subject. Today, Dick Cheney couldn’t let that go without a comment.
CBS has a round up of the polls and where they might end up on Tuesday.
Chris Heinz obviously learned something from his mother…

CRONKITE: KARL ROVE BEHIND BIN LADEN TAPE?
Sat Oct 30 2004 16:31:19 ET
Former CBSNEWS anchorman Walter Cronkite believes Bush adviser Karl Rove is possibly behind the new Bin Laden tape.
Cronkite made the startling comments late Friday during an interview on CNN.
Somewhat smiling, Cronkite said he is “inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing.”
Interviewer Larry King did not ask Cronkite to elaborate on the provocative election eve observation.
I live in the extreme upper northwestern part of Washington State. In fact, I’m only a few miles from the Canadian border. Unlike the typically wet Seattle area, we are lucky enough to enjoy weather that comes out of a valley in British Columbia. That’s great in the Summer, but bad in the Winter. So, what does this have to do with light blogging on a Saturday? It means that I have to spend the day “winterizing” my home. You know…taking down the random furniture that is still outside, placing styrofoam inserts into the vents in the foundation, general cleaning and “battening” down of the premises.
Never fear though, because I am an obsessed news junkie, and am especially neurotic being that the election is only in 3 days away, I’m never that far away from my friend “Dell”.
Updates through the day…Happy Halloween.
