"No one in the United States should try to overhype this election. This election is a sort of demarcation point, and what really counts now is the effort to have a legitimate political reconciliation, and it’s going to take a massive diplomatic effort and a much more significant outreach to the international community than this administration has been willing to engage in. Absent that, we will not be successful in Iraq."
– John Kerry, on NBC’s Meet The Press, January 30, 2005
I didn’t know John got up this early in Sunday mornings. 😉
John Kerry:
“This election is a sort of demarcation point(…)”
Yeah, a demarcation point all right: between standing up for democracy OR opposing democratic reform.
It’s very, very, simple: are you FOR or AGAINST democracy? No “Yes, but”… For or against? (Push Kerry too hard on that question, and his head might explode.)
I’m for.

Are John’s comments even relevant now? Were they ever? His appearance on a Sunday morning news show as the only guest, should tell you the state of the mainstream media and the Democratic Party…..very telling….
