It costs more at the pump. Smoke and mirrors lets cut 18cents per gallon of taxes but add a fee of 18 cents per gallon to maintain the money. Guess what it is a way to say you cut taxes to help the people yet double the tax. Do you think they will stop adding this new 18 cent fee? When prices are so high lets put more hidden tax expense into the gas. So when the price drops we got more revenue and the people are not the wiser they got stiffed with more taxes.
