Well, Well, Well…

Representative Cynthia McKinney has apologized for the scuffle with Capitol Police. It’s clear that the Democrats have gotten to her. Soon as the transcript, video, or both are available, I’ll post it.

MORE, via the AP.

McKinney’s Statement:

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I come before this body to personally express again my sincere regret about the encounter with the capitol hill police. I appreciate my colleagues who are standing with me, who love this institution, and who love this country. There should not have been any physical contact in this incident. I have always supported law enforcement and will be voting for H.R. 756, Expressing my gratitude and appreciation to the professionalism and dedication of the men and women of the u.S. Capitol police. I am sorry that this misunderstanding happened at all and i regret its escalation and i apologize. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

I’m sorry, but,”It’s clear that the Democrats have gotten to her?” You really don’t take that statement seriously, do you? I mean, with a name like “punditguy,” surely you must read/watch the news. Is there no evidence that the Republicans and Democrats are basically the same thing? Just for reference, Bill O’Reilly is about as much of a news source as Jon Stewart.

Honestly. Notice how certain topics are brought up at each election. Taxes. The environment. Education. Social Security. Big Business v. Working Class. Abortion. With the exception of recent events, notice that nothing but the issue of abortion has been actively dealt with. Not by either side.

Surely someone as savvy in current events as yourself is aware that these are nothing more than campaign issues. Nobody is going to solve them one way or another, because it provides a campaign platform for the same old do-nothings to run on because it keeps them in POWER. Power and Money are the mantras these people chant daily. The idea that there is any trace of an altruistic government–and that only one of the political parties is altruistic–is pure lunacy.
