John McCain will introduce Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential running mate at an event here at noon Friday, senior campaign sources confirmed to FOX News.

McCain’s VP

The AP reports that Governor Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota has “abruptly” cancelled numerous public appearances. Will he be McCain’s Veep pick?

Without explanation, Pawlenty called off an Associated Press interview at the last minute, as well as other media interviews in Denver, site of the Democratic National Convention.

Or, will it be Romney?

We’ll know by the end of today.

Biden

So, it’s Joe after all. Heh. Leaking that bumper sticker was an excellent diversion. Fun stuff.

This election is setting itself up nicely. Biden’s mouth will elicit a wealth of great blog posts. Can’t wait.

Now, who’ll McCain pick? Will he find himself an attack dog to counter Joe Biden or will he choose a lamb who will emit a sort of calm that will make Biden look like a lunatic? Either way, it’ll be exciting.

Called, Not Called

VP insanity.

We don’t know who has been called, but we know who Barack Obama hasn’t called yet.

Hillary Clinton has NOT been called.

Evan Bayh has NOT been called.

Joe Biden has not only NOT been called, it appears that everyone associated with him as gone to ground.

Don’t Believe It

Mike Allen from Politico writes that Hillary Clinton has not been vetted for a possible VP slot. In fact, she was never asked.

“She was never vetted,” a Democratic official reported. “She was not asked for a single piece of paper. She and Senator Obama have never had a single conversation about it. How would he know if she’d take it?”

The official also said Clinton never met with Obama’s vetting team of Eric Holder and Caroline Kennedy.
