Cori Dauber over at Rantingprofs is heaping shame on NBC for showing video from a terrorist group that is claimed to be footage of an attack that killed 10 U.S. Marines. The problem is, the attack happened at night, but the video contains only daylight scenes. NBC aired it anyway.

If you look at this picture long enough, it will start to look like two people wearing Condi and Bobby masks. I mean really, their heads look huge.

John Hawkins’ 4th Annual Warblogger Awards for 2005, the oldest and most prestigious awards for right-of-center bloggers, have been announced. With more that 225 bloggers invited to vote, only 50 responded. With that small a sample, the winners are easily predictable. Hail, hail, the gang’s all here – Reynolds, Malkin, Drum, Kos, Sullivan, Morrissey, Huffington, Hewitt, et al. 

But if you want to view the contents of the government paperwork, you need to send a records request on your news organization’s letterhead along with all your vital statistics to the Governor’s Press Office. Oh, and you can’t just send the request, you have to GO DELIVER IT IN PERSON! After the letter is authenticated, then you’ll be sent an email giving you instructions on the next step necessary…whatever that might be, and you’ll get a personal pin number, which somehow provides clearance, to something, or somewhere.

While the East Coast awaits a snow storm (the real kind), the Pacific Northwest is dealing with something we call snow.

If you look close enough, you can just make out the flakes of white. Under these conditions, conscientious drivers keep their speed down, ever fearful of that killer patch of ice. By now though, most folks have figured out that you can just drive around the single patch and everyone comes out A-OK! Took a few days to figure that out though, and wow, talk about some close calls!

Oh, and our county will actually delay the opening of schools an hour or so after encountering blizzard conditions like those represented above. Can’t be too careful you know!

All kidding aside, being close to the Canadian border, we can get some serious snow storms combined with a wind-chill that rivals our friends out East. The “season” only lasts a couple of days though, then the rain comes back and our tulips start to poke.

Washington State – we rock.

Today is that day – Sinterklaas, and the Lighted Christmas Parade. In my town, this is a huge deal. Klompen dancing, Dutch singing, the works.

Custom made for a Friday afternoon, there’s nothing better than a news story about how fractured the Democrats are on the subject of Iraq. The item includes this quote from “Mr. Nuance” which effectively illustrates the ‘clear as mud’ message being broadcast from the dems:
