You think Lieberman is reading the DNC internal polls these days?

What do you do when you’re the focus of one of the greatest scandals the world has ever known? If you’re Kofi Annan, you criticize the US. Simply brilliant.

Annan said it was “inconceivable” Saddam’s activities could have influenced policy in the countries concerned.

“I don’t think the Russian or the French or the Chinese government would allow itself to be bought…” Annan said.

“I think it’s inconceivable. These are very serious and important governments. You are not dealing with banana republics.”

Heh.

Memo from the DNC:

Please Bill, please. We know you have just had a very serious surgical procedure. Yes, yes, sure they cut your chest wide open, root around in there then staple it back up. Yes, we know it’s tough to breathe after that, but come on…John Kerry needs you.

Lest I be the last one to report…CNNUSATODAYGALLUP has Bush up 52% to Kerry’s 44%. Can’t wait to hear how the Democrats will spin this one.

UPDATE: The wackos over at Kos are already twirlin.

I live in Washington State, so I know just how liberal our neighbor state of Oregon is. According to The Riley Report (courtesy of BrothersJudd), Bush leads Kerry 48% to 43%. If this holds true it is a stunning blow to the Kerry campaign.

According to RealClear Politics, the latest Newsweek poll shows Bush leading Kerry 50% to 44%.

Light blogging today…Mrs. PunditGuy is away, so I’m busy watching all the little PunditKids.

If you do any regular travel at all, this stuff happens a lot. But, if you’re a vice presidential candidate, it turns into an emergency and front pages across the world scream the story.
