My kids check out a lot of books from the local library, and I freak out when we get the letter in the mail telling me one of them is overdue. I guess my kids aren’t that bad. This guy recently returned a library book that he checked out 47 years ago, when he was in the ninth grade.

I’m plenty proud to be a citizen of a country where power can pass from one party to another peacefully, so yesterday’s goings on made me feel patriotic, even though my party was moving to the back seat. One thing though…I completely agree with Betsy Newmark. The ‘Nancy Pelosi hype’ is getting out of hand.
