The Big Bush Undo

Atrios spills the beans on the Democratic Party’s agenda for governing, should they come back into power in November or beyond. Here’s the condensed version.

— Eliminate Bush

— Increase taxes

— Outlaw conservatism

Oh, and jail Jeff Goldstein.

Big tent?

Heh.

Left Leaves Bad Taste in Cohen’s Mouth

Richard Cohen, meet the Kos Kids.

The Washington Post columnist shares an experience most of us on the right side of the blogosphere know all too well. He recently wrote about Stephen Colbert and his rather unfunny performance at the White House correspondents dinner.

And then the roof caved in.

The word went out around the blogosphere and quickly ignited the already overly combustible moonbat blogs. Their counter-strike was swift and sure. Cohen was declared the new enemy and deserving of a hate-filled email carpet bombing.

The strike against the target was successful.

Cohen now knows a thing or two about the looney left, and he writes about it today.

Mujahadin: Nothing More Than a Distraction

The MSM won’t tell you this, but the terrorists in Iraq are losing. And how do we know this? We know they’re losing because reports written by al-Qaeda members say so. Did you catch that? Their own guys are lamenting the struggle they face in Baghdad and in other cities throughout the country.

CENTCOM recently captured al-Qaeda correspondence that outlines the current condition of the terrorist insurgency in Iraq. Captain’s Quarters has it.

Wanna Kill Him Now?

Moussaoui wants a new trial.

Zacarias Moussaoui said in an affadavit “I now see that it is possible that I can receive a fair trial” in the United States.

“Even with Americans as jurors,” he went on, “I can have the opportunity to prove that I did not have any knowledge of and was not a member of the plot to hijack planes and crash them into buildings on September 11, 2001.”

“I wish to withdraw my guilty plea and ask the court for a new trial to prove my innocence of the September 11 plot,” he said.

Sounds to me like Zacarias was voted most popular by the prison Nancy’s and wants to call an end to the midnight visitations.

Calling a Spade a Spade

Will this be the week that U.S. Representative Katherine Harris drops out of the race for Senate? Time is running out.

Florida Governor Jeb Bush made it clear today. He said, “I just don’t think she can win.” It’s hard to argue with that. Harris is 30 points behind her Democratic opponent, U.S. Senator Bill Nelson.

Seeing as how Republicans can’t afford to lose seats in the Senate to any Democrat, most people are hoping that somehow, Harris can be convinced that she should get out, for the good of the party. So far, she’s not listening.

So, You Wanna Be President?

The number of late-night jokes about George W. Bush has more than doubled this year — with almost a third of them mocking his intelligence, followed by his declining popularity, his personality, the Dubai ports deal and the war in Iraq.
