Leave it to Arthur Chrenkoff to put together a very helpful guide to the major players in the upcoming Iraqi election. This is a great primer for those of us who find it difficult to keep all the parties and peoples straight.

Apparently, today is the worse day of the year, so says a University of Cardiff Professor who has put together a formula that points to the 24th of January as the most depressing day out of the 365 for the year. They’re making a huge deal out of this in the UK. This morning, each of the dozen or so morning news programs had some segment on it, interviewing the “classes” of people. The general consensus is, if you’re working class, you’re depressed. If you’re upper class, you’re tolerating it, and if you’re super class, EVERY DAY IS WONDERFUL. Heh.

Virtually no posts for the next 36 hours – I’m off to London and I’m taking Mrs. PunditGuy with me (No kids for 2 weeks! Whoo hoo!). I’m going on business, she’s getting a free vacation. I should be back to bloggin sometime on Sunday. Until then…

UPDATE: Arrived in good order. Spent most of the day adjusting to the time change. So far, the Holiday Inn London-Kensington gets high marks from me. If you’ve ever been to the Europe, you’re familiar with the “typical” size of hotel rooms. Well, this one has North American size rooms and they’re quite modern. Satellite TV and broadband (12 pounds, or $24 dollars every 24 hours) in the room. No, nothing is cheap here in London.

Groping allegations made against Bill Cosby. The woman claims she was fondled by the comedian, who denies the allegations. No charges have been filed.

Cosby is ripe for extortion charges, what with his May 2004 lecturing session to the NAACP. What are the chances that this woman recently cashed a check from the Rainbow Coalition?
